Adelaide vintage stores!

Something that's been bugging me lately is the ridiculous amount of fuel that gets used up travelling between vintage stores. So I've decided to work on a map that locates the prominent vintage stores and op shops in Adelaide. There are 17 stores currently on the list but I plan to expand it with more in depth reviews, opening hours and plenty more locations. Leave a comment with any places you'd like to see added to the list or reviews you'd like to make! Feedback?

xoxo,
Coco

PS: got my first nasty comment just now. I'm amused/shocked/flattered. Shocked that somebody would waste their time disparaging people online, amused that they hated my outfit that much, and flattered that they think I'm that interesting! Keep up the good work, Anonymous.

Hold your groans

I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about Michael Jackson, but the man was my bloody hero. This post is not so much about him as it is about his relevance to current fashion. Blazers! Sequins! Epaulettes! Military jackets! Skinny trousers! Take inspiration from The Cut's glorious conglomeration of MJ images relevant only to the fashion scene. He had planned to launch a clothing line with Christian Audigier, although I think Balmain would have been a more appropriate partner. It's so obvious Christophe Decarnin adores the guy.

Wearing oversize vintage knitted jumper, Topshop leather pants, Siren shoes, Just Jeans top and DIY necklace

I love oversize knitted jumpers! They're so freaking comfy. I've already got six, all of which I got from op shops and garage sales! Don't you love garage sales? Coco and I went to two on Sunday and we got some lovely things.

I will be really busy the next two and a half weeks cos of exams so I don't know how often I'll blog. Till then, Coco will keep you company.

If I had a spare $800, this is what I'd buy

That's right, some crazy cool sheila is selling that Maison Martin Margiela top. KEVIN RUDD WHERE IS MY $900. So now we know who buys these things, anyway. I should probably mention she also has the chained leggings. Let's be friends, jellysack.

Photos from the Past

These were from ages ago. Last November I think, when I first got into this whole fashion thing. Looking at these photos make me want summer back, and winter's only just started!

May we all mourn for our lack of photography skills

This art is stunning, and that's before you learn that Nirrimi Firebrace is just 16 years old and has been practising photography for only two years. She is drowning in talent and sure to be the next hit in fashion photography. I have no doubt that we will see her name on the credits of Vogue in years to come.
