  • I will be in Melbourne in 4 days! Shopping and late night hangouts here I come!
  • Bought two pairs of shoes from Zu today. Loving, loving them. The boyfriend has just banned me from buying anymore.
  • So I heard from Annie of Fruitcake You that Smith Street has good op shops. Anyone else know of any vintage stores in the Melbourne CBD?
  • Food food food! There is this awesome Thai restaurant on Lygon that I love! I think it's called Ying Thai 2? It's right next to that Malaysian restaurant? Or that ice-cream place Fredos (great ice-cream! Try the durian one)? You Melbournians who know about this place can correct me if I'm wrong. They have this deep fried fish skin thingy that I always get when I'm there (which is once a year). I know it sounds gross but it's actually really very tasty. They cook it with nice sweet chilli sauce and some other stuff. Very, very yum.
  • Will be leaving Oz in about 3 weeks. Kinda excited but sad that I wont be seeing anyone here for three months. But not to worry, I will be blogging from Malaysia! My graphic designer friend Nina and I have already planned a trip to Singapore and lots of photoshoots.

I went a little bit crazy on my least favourite magazine - Cleo - and bought multiple copies in order to get the free watches in every colour. They're so vulgar it's amazing! (The camera remote is also a new purchase, but it's a lot shorter than I had anticipated.)

Ivana & Katerina swimwear

Sweetheart maillot, $159
Pin Me Up bikini, $129
Kumari one-piece, $159

One of the few items of clothing that has the ability to endlessly frustrate me is the swimsuit. Finding the perfect one at a reasonable price would be equivalent to discovering the holy grail. But I can't help but wonder if my search is over, now that I've come upon swimwear designers Ivana & Katerina.

Local girls Ivana Milosevic and Katerina Vrynios saw a niche in the Australian market for well-designed and priced swimwear, and have released their debut range 'Show Pony' in Adelaide for this summer. I had a chat with them about their gorgeous line to share with our readers.

  • What kind of woman do you design for?
We would like to think that we cater for a diverse variety of women; our main aim is to create beautiful and glamorous swimwear which is stylish yet fun. We designed different styles to be able to cater for a broader range of women and their unique tastes.

  • What has been the hardest thing about starting a new label?
At the beginning of this venture, both having to work fulltime in order to fund the project was very time consuming and exhausting. Finding the perfect manufacturer in such a huge industry to meet our specific needs in order to ensure our designs were manufactured the way we intended.

  • Do you both share roles or do you have different specialities in running the brand?
We both share every aspect of business, from the initial design process through to managing and marketing our business. It's great having one another; we bring different aspects and creative visions to the drawing board.

  • What made you interested in designing swimwear? Do you have backgrounds in fashion?
We both studied fashion design and saw that there was a need for a fresh take on swimwear in the market, which prompted us to begin creating our own brand.

  • Where do you plan to take the label in future? Are there plans to open your own store or design other types of clothing?
We want to keep working on establishing our swimwear brand and hope to one day use this as a foundation for launching an apparel range, we're both very much inspired by all aspects of fashion, not just swimwear.

Ivana & Katerina will be stocked exclusively by the end of November in Chasing Nel, Urban Girl, Foxx Empire, and Celcius Tanning in Adelaide, but if you're interstate or overseas you can pre-order their range at SuenoStyle online with free postage.

So now what? We run away?

Wearing vintage tweed blazer, Dangerfield lace bodysuit, Topshop pom pom skirt, Aldo boots and vintage oversized clutch.

It's SWOT Week and I am no where done with study. I have two exams next week and two more the week after. Then it's summer holidays! Woo hoo! Wanna make sure I get soaked up in the sun here in Australia before I go back to Malaysia for three months. I'm going to miss Tom so much! I'm hoping all the catching up, travelling and shopping will make up for it. Well, at least this time I will actually have time to go to Singapore.

One random question though, does anyone miss Nsync? I mean, they are past yesterday but I think I miss seeing them on TV sometimes. Now it's just Justin Timberlake. Not that I'm complaining about JT or anything, I'm just missing teenage 90s music. Anyone? Oh and if you're wondering, yes Nsync is playing on my iTunes right now! Haha...

Today's photographer is my musician extraordinaire younger sister, whom you are sure to see at the ARIA awards some time in the near future. In the mean time, she likes to take blurry outfit photos so sorry there are no pictures of the front.
