Melbourne town

Sportsgirl dress | Forever New fingerless gloves | French Connection tights | Vintage boots

I just got back from Melbourne, and all I have to say is get thee on a plane, you single ladies. I've been to Melbourne three times in the past year, and every day that I've been there I've been asked out. (The last time I was asked out here in Adelaide was when my boy and I got all official-like.) And while I enjoy kicking a Vic just as much as the next South Aussie, I can't deny that the men of Melbourne are well fit. Not only does Melbourne town have drop dead gorgeous people to offer, but yummy tap water too?! I think that seals the deal. We may have better beer, but Melbourne, you have my heart.

Bring me back to the 70s

I like wearing flared jeans. I'm planning on getting a pair in light washed denim for the coming summer. Thinking maybe Acne ones? Also, I am loving Alexander Wang's collection currently on sale at shopbop.com. My exams end this Wednesday and I am just dying to go out! Thinking of checking out what's left of the stock take sale as well as do some op shopping. I've got some projects planned for the holidays, so I'm quite excited about that too.

Please stay tuned to this space because I will be selling the bodychain harnesses. I'll have a whole post on it when my exams finish.

Also, I would really appreciate it if you could let us know what you like about our blog and what you would like to see on here in the future. Whether you want to see more desinger reviews, more outfit posts, more photography style stuff or music etc. We would love to hear what you have to say. Just drop us a comment if you have the time.

xx, Amanda

PS: Please ignore my facial expression in the second photo. Lol.

Our eBay store is back up and running for a little while as I clear out my cupboard to get ready to go overseas. Up for grabs are Wittner clogs, tops by Zac Posen and Sass & Bide, some Minkpink and vintage Bally. You know you want it.

(I promise more posts when my internet stops screwing around! In the mean time, I'll see you Adelaide kids at the Attitude winter launch this Thursday.)

If we must, we must

I don't how I found the time to get these photos done and relax this week with exams just around the corner. Also, heaps excited about these thigh high boots I got from Payless. Got them at the begining of fall and have just been waiting for the right weather to wear them out.

Tom is going away to Asia tomorrow for 11 days, and without me! I sense less exciting days ahead. I don't even know why I'm complaining, we got separated for 2 months over the summer so 11 days would be "nothing" in comparison to that. But I can't help thinking that I'm going to be stuck here in Adelaide without my best friend, while he's having the time of his life playing bass and touring with the band. Not to mention the FOOD! Gosh. I miss Malaysian food soooooo bad! Oh, and the shopping!

Alright, that's enough for tonight I think. Going to pack myself into his suitcase at the airport tomorrow and get someone else to sit my exams for me. Yay!

Right to the edge

This is just a quick post before I rush of to town for uni. It's the last official week of the semester. I can't believe I'm half-way through my final year! So very exciting but yet scary.

Whitley, Gossling and Seagull at Jive Adelaide Review

There’s something about the atmosphere of final tours that can’t be felt anywhere else. It’s as if the transience of the moment tugs at every soul in the room, and the appreciation is vast, even to the extent of silencing the audience completely. Whitley’s final solo gig in Adelaide was no exception. Every eye was wide open, glued to the stage, and every song concluded with rapturous applause better suited to a teenage heartthrob. Opening acts Seagull and Gossling were met with similar affection from the audience, particularly during Gossling's 'Days Are Over', which has been flogged on Triple J of late.

Confused dresser

Vintage cardigan, denim waistcoat, dress, watch and boots | Dotti fingerless lace gloves (worn on feet)

It was one of those days when all I needed was a pair of lacy socks. You know the ones - those hideous cotton things our mothers forced on our feet when we were little tackers. (I hated them so much I used to step in mud so that they had to be thrown away.) Anyway, I came to the realisation that I needed lacy socks. Rummaging through my sock drawer, my hands came across lace and I yanked it out in excitement, only to find that they were fingerless gloves I forgot I had. Disappointment ensued, until I had an epiphany: make do.

So on they went, and nobody knew any better...until the shopkeeper at Whistles complimented my socks, to which I replied, 'Actually, they're gloves.' The look of bewilderment on her face was so worth it.
