I've recently spotted a couple of fresh jewellery designers to keep an eye on. You will love. For endless jewellery porn check out my friend Alicia's shop Alegorie. If everyone just had a few of those pieces, the world would be a happy place.

I have this problem where I instantly buy any piece of jewellery with an owl, key or fleur-de-lis on it. There isn't even a question about it. Oh hey, it's a $300 anklet with a drunk-looking owl on the end! Of course I'll have that! What, Valleygirl has a faux Tiffany's key necklace that won't do up? Brilliant, I'll take that too! I think this can be commonly diagnosed as a Kappa problem.

Do you find yourself addicted to buying certain motifs? (Sorority girls, I'm looking at you.)

As a photographer, one of the most enlightening things is you could do is to spend a bit of time on the other side of the lens and feel the burning stare of the camera. Not only does it help you understand why other people can be so stiff in front of your lens (and what to do about it), but it also gives valuable insight into the minds of other talented snappers. One of the essential things I do with my photography students is take photos of them, so that they can have the experience of crossing over to the over side - they always end up the better for it.

It's always interesting to see how another photographer would approach a scene and contrasting it with your own vision. Here are a few shots from a couple of precious young ladies I spent time with recently. Hope you're as in love with their work as I am.

What have you learnt from being in front of the lens?

Outfitted for RAFW

Asos chain ring | House of Harlow Starburst ring | Asos boyfriend watch | Sportsgirl scarf | Asos asymmetric dress | Urban Outfitters socks | Topshop Wisteria wedges

Clearly I've over-indulged in Asos sprees ever since they introduced free worldwide shipping. But surely you can't blame me. This dress might as well have been made for me.

Faces of Fashion Week

Maggie at the None the Richer afterparty

Lucinda and Rachel

Picture perfect, much?!

Just sitting on the floor in One Teaspoon, ya know.

Sara, Georgie and Rachel in the media centre

Jess and Emma at our final dinner together on Friday night

And the ever-adorable Margaret!

It was so wonderful to finally meet all the pulchritudinous faces behind the blogs and sites I've been frequenting for ages. The experience of reading someone's writing online is revolutionised when you can actually read what they're saying in their own voice. They are all the most wonderful people (and that includes you ladies not pictured here too) and I can't wait to see them again when I visit Sydney again in July.

Missing Sydney and all the people in it,

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week part I

Zanerobe dress | Sass & Bide shoulder piece | Asos chain | Sportsgirl tights | Dolce Vita for Target studded oxfords | Asos ring

Only a week has passed since I landed back in Adelaide from Sydney but it has gone so fast! (Blogger hasn't been working so sorry I haven't posted sooner.) I spent the week reporting and shooting for Adelaide Fashion Collective and basically being a sleepless zombie, but nevertheless really enjoyed my time and I can't wait to be back in Sydney in July.

The top two photos are outside the place I stayed with Alicia and Selena, resident babes in what we like to think of as Babehouse. Rad times. More posts soon! In the mean time, check out the photo below. Didn't you hear? Cameras are so last season.

(Thanks to Alicia for the photos of me!)
